Malihini - 3/4 Day (Featured Boat, thanks for great service guys and June in the galley!!!) - Excellent reputation San Diego sportfishing boat with long, productive history of fishing the Coronado Islands and popular surrounding areas. I was a regular with my father when Tim Green owned and ran it as well as when the legendary captain "Manny" was in the wheelhouse. My first boat to fish as a kid when I was just 6 years old. Now under new ownership Captain's Bill Wilkerson and Mike Schmidt make a great fit for her long and productive history and June is still running the galley which is great news as she is one of the longest running veterans of the Malihini and has worked in the galley for over 20 years. Ask for one of her famous burgers! In my opinion June is one of the best in the galley of the San Diego fleet. Chubasco II - 3/4 Day and private charter trips out of Mission Bay. Captain Erine and crew has a great reputation for a friendly boat and catch record. Check his website for trip specials and half-day sportfishing trips as well at times.

Daily Double - Half Day - This is my favorite half day boat in San Diego. Captain Fred Huber runs a top notch sportfishing operation and his experience offers a great opportunity of catching fish and a fun day on the water. When Calico Bass are biting he finds them. If you should catch Fred fishing on a stop, watch carefully and take notes. I learned most of what I know about catching the elusive Calico's by watching him. Traditionally a very friendly and successful boat for open party half-day or by private charter for your group or event. For coporate charters the spacious sun deck, roomy galley and plenty of rail space makes Daily Double and excellent choice for group fishing charters in San Diego.

Fisherman 3 - Half Day Charter - Like Fred Huber and the Daily Double or Tim Green on the Premier, Captain J.D. McGriff is an excellent Captain and is very funny with kids. I took my nephew out for his first trip with J.D. and he has been hooked since. He made it as productive as fun. Another fine boat I recommend. Before owning the "F3" Captain J.D. ran this boat for years for then owner Tim Green who now owns and operates the San Diego half-day sportfisher Premier. J.D. is another excellent choice for a group charter.

Premier - Half Day open party and private charter - Tim Green's new half-day boat Premier is the new daily half-day boat replacing the Fisherman 3 (see above). Big 81' x 25' of beam with a low profile to the water makes her a stable and spacious fishing platform. Captain Tim has owned and operated a few excellent, reputable boats over the years like the Malihini, Fisherman 3 and now the Premier. As long as Captain/Owner Tim Green is in the wheelhouse I suggest a trip on this boat. After fishing countless trips over the last 25 or so years with Tim I am confident your group will have a successful and good trip fished as open party or private charter.

New Seaforth - San Diego 1/2 day and 3/4 day fishing trips. Another favorite, this boat is extremely comfortable and always offers a friendly crew and Captain. This is the closest San Diego sportfishing boat to the La Jolla Kelp Beds. RJ has one of the best catch records for Giant Humbolt squid which run from about January to April. Comfortable, large open party half-day runs daily but available for private charter as well.

Oceanside 95 - This boat usually fishes overnighter's and multi-day tuna trips and occasionally half-day trips which can be a bonus for half-day fishermen wanting to experience what a bigger boat is like during tuna season. I haven't fished this boat in some time but she has always had a veteran crew both personable and excellent deckhands. I believe Terry was one of them who was always great to fish with as a hand. I hope he still works for the O'95. Located in Oceanside Harbor.
