San Diego Long-Range Sportfishing Trips
World class big game saltwater fishing is just a stone's throw away for the San Diego long range sportboat fleet.
These trips range in length from 5 days to about 21 days with peak long-range season being from about Fall through early Spring. These fish various locations down the Baja, Mexico Coast and sometimes beyond with a range of some boats as far as Puerto Vallarta and Costa rica.
Big Game fish species targeted on these trips include fishing for Giant "Cow" Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowtail and Dorado (Mahi Mahi) with a plethora of incidental species on any given day. It's not uncommon to see 200# - 400# "cows" being caught using techniques known as fishing the "kite" or "balloon".
